Summa unveils the successor to the 'world’s best' thermal transfer printer/cutter

Summa DC5 thermal transfer printer cutterSumma proudly announces the official launch of the successor to their renowned thermal transfer printer/cutter: DC5.

At 137 cm, the DC5 is the world's widest thermal transfer resin printer/cutter and comprises over four times the width of its nearest competitor.

It delivers customer ready prints with no need to dry or laminate. Resin ribbon printing may last outdoor for up to five years without lamination, says the company. One single machine will deliver durable full colour and accurate contour cut graphics with the ability to cut completely through the material. The automatic resin ribbon changer can combine process colours, a wide range of spot colours and mirroring metallic foil printing for high-profit effect graphics that only thermal transfer printing will provide. Thermal transfer printing is currently the 'most environmental friendly method on the market'. There is no chemical waste, no VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) exhaust or noxious solvent fumes that could entail any health risk.

Other features include an Ethernet port and a new user interface. The available widths for the DC5 are 50cm (new), 61cm, 75cm, 100cm (new), 122cm (new) and 137cm. The widths for DC5sx are 50cm (new), 61cm and 75cm.

A modern styled user interface was also added to the DC series to meet operator needs for ergonomics and safety. The touchscreen facilitates 'quick and easy' navigation through the menus and displays a broader range of information on the screen.
