This unique material is a high quality solid acrylic, available in 23 shades and colours with various options of finishes. As the material is new to the sign market, the actual UV life of the material is yet to be confirmed, although The Sign Group has had this product outside on one of its buildings for nearly three years without any problems.
To complement the built up and fret cut letters area of the company, The Sign Group has decided to stock the 20mm acrylic range to help combat a common question for built ups, 'How Small Can You Go'? Well now, about 30mm 'small'.
After getting numerous calls almost daily for small built up letters, a eureka moment occurred in the summer of 2010. Using existing material specifically manufactured for a long term ongoing job, why not use the same material to add to their fret cut letters service?
This might sound like the obvious way to go, but there were many hoops to jump through in order to be allowed to use the material. For example, is there enough of a niche market to sustain the time and effort put in?
Having trialled and tested the material for the latter half of 2010 there is a growing requirement from the customer, and a large proportion actively selling as their material of choice.
The second product to be released to coincide with Sign UK 2011 will be fret cut Corian letters. Offering the full range of colours, with a 1-2 day turn round, The Sign Group say they are the first in the country to offer this comprehensive service.
