This series of digital flatbed cutting machines is the first to be specifically designed to operate continuously in a 24/7 production environment. The machines are specially aimed at handling the combination of corrugated board and other rigid materials used for packaging, POP products and product displays.
Mark Dempsey, Sales Director at Raster Printers states "At up to 100 linear metres cutting and creasing speed, pulling 1.5G of force it really is a hungry beast and whilst speed is not everything, the acceleration of 15 metres per second means that cutting even the most intricate of designs can prove cost effective over traditional die cutting methods."
The Kongsberg XP comes in sizes of 1680 x 3200mm, 2210 x 3200mm and 2210 x 4800mm and has full load and unload automation available as an option.
January sees the second tempter, with the official unveiling of the EFI-Rastek H700.
EFI-Rastek formerly known as Raster Printers Inc. based in California is launching the H700 as its mid range UV Flatbed.
Mark says: "The H700 is aimed at producers of point of purchase, exhibition stands and signmakers looking for great quality at speeds of up to 30sq.m. per hour and who do not have £100,000 to spend."
The EFI-Rastek H700 is an 1830mm wide conveyor driven UV Flatbed using greyscale variable drop print heads with a maximum resolution of 1200dpi. White ink is available as an option.
Demonstrations of Kongsberg's XP digital cutting tables and the EFI-Rastek H700 are being arranged through Raster Printers, telephone 01869 242100 or go to www.rasterprinters.co.uk to find out more.
