Sign & Digital exhibition: Organisers prepare for busy show in Birmingham
Some 90 percent of floor space has been taken already, more than 17 percent up on last year. To date, the show has a prestigious list of exhibitors, including Roland DG, Hewlett Packard, Robert Horne Group, Europoint Display, William Smith, Hybrid/Mimaki, Fujifilm Sericol, Grafityp, Durst and Hexis UK. Those who have exhibited in previous years have found the show hugely beneficial, and visitors have also cited the show as the best way to network, find new products and keep their fingers on the pulse of this vibrant industry.
Global Erecting Sign Services LTD (GESS LTD) are one company who are on board to exhibit this year. Having previously exhibited at Sign & Digital UK, they made sure early on that they were part of the 2009 show.
Gavin Clark of GESS LTD spoke of what they will be doing at the 2009 show: "Olympic swimmer and Strictly Come Dancing star Mark Foster will be on the stand on the 29th April to meet and greet visitors to the stand to make a prize draw for £2000 worth of free installation work."
Alongside this, GESS will be presenting a wide range of products, including full building wraps, one-to-one building montages, huge format banner installations, lightbox design and installation plus many more. It is sure to be another great year on the GESS stand, so make sure that you are around to see what they have to offer.
Also at the show will be Alcan Composites - Simon Philpott is excited about the potential of this year and talks about what Alcan are bringing with them.
"Alcan Composites Display Europe is a leading supplier of light weight sheet materials with high quality surfaces for display and signage applications. Alcan Composites Display Europe offers the broadest product range and services available in the market including DIBOND® aluminium composite panels, FOREX® rigid foam plastic sheets, KAPA® and FOAM-X® lightweight foam boards. End uses range from signs and displays through to graphic arts materials, direct-to-substrate digital printing, fabrication, mounting and many more."
Meanwhile, Melanie Enser will be part of the Colourgen Ltd team who are exhibiting at the 2009 show: "The show will see the first public UK unveiling of the new H-Series of solvent inkjet printers from Seiko II, the ColorPainters H-74S and 104S.
Combining high quality with high volume, the two models print at up to 55sqm/hour in 8-colour mode and 100sqm/hour in 4-colour mode " considerably faster than nearest competing models. Using eight super-wide piezo heads at 720dpi, other features include ‘Smart Pass Technology' to reduce horizontal banding as well as ‘double' drop' technology which creates high ink density levels by firing multiple drops without compromising speed."
This years show is shaping up to be the best one yet, so being there is an absolute must to keep abreast of the latest trends, innovations and new products hitting the market. Register your attendance at the 2009 for free by visiting www.signanddigitaluk.com
