Ricoh bolsters image quality with free software updates for UV flatbed printers

Ricoh UK has announced a series of major software updates for the Ricoh Pro T7210, Ricoh Pro TF6250 and Ricoh Pro TF6251 UV flatbed printers, available free-of-charge for existing users.

The updates will enable users to access a range of new print modes, which will significantly enhance image quality on prints produced on the three Ricoh UV flatbed printers, allowing them to deliver even higher quality work to customers.

The latest versions of the software also feature new print profiles including an all-white mode and multi-layered printing modes, as well as enhanced print modes in 4C Standard ‘Enhanced’ and 4C Quality ‘Enhanced’.

An updated interface that enables users to easily access the new print modes is included in the software, as well as the ability to check key printer information regarding ink consumption, allowing Ricoh UV flatbed printer customers to easily keep track of their machine’s performance and ensure it is operating to its best ability.

The enhanced print mode improves image quality and final output and has minimal impact on productivity. The updated software will be available as Version 1.2.0.0 for the Pro T7210, Version 1.2.1.0 on the Pro TF6250, and Version 1.2.2.8 for the Pro TF6251, and will be installed by Ricoh at customers’ next scheduled service visits.

“The software update is the latest step in Ricoh’s ongoing commitment to supporting our customers in the long run,” says Stewart Cobby, Ricoh UK’s Inkjet Sales Manager. “At Ricoh, our journey with the customer does not end when they have invested in a machine; we are equally dedicated to working with them long-term to support their business goals and continuously improve the quality of output.

“Making the updates available free-of-charge demonstrates this. The new versions of the software offer brand new features to customers, allowing them to strengthen their service offering and helping to future-proof their business – all at no additional expense.”
