Amari partners wtih digital supplies to add new solution to graphics portfolio
An innovative wall covering solution, developed by Kernow Coatings, is available from Amari Sign Display & Graphics partnering with Amari Digital Supplies (ADS). Called KernowJet Interiors, it enables the creation of individual wall art murals to install in a wide range of environments, such as retail, educational, hotel and hospital sectors.
KernowJet Interiors is HP latex inks-certified and can be printed on eco-solvent, latex and UV wide-format inkjet printers. It is a white embossed non-woven substrate, with a specially treated and “Bio-Pruf-certified” top coat that inhibits the formation of mould and mildew. The product has a Class 0 fire rating to BS 476 Parts 6/7; is EN 259-2-compliant; and has a “light fastness capability” in accordance with the International Wool Scale BS/EN 20105/ISO 105 802 level seven of eight. It is also classified as a non-hazardous material to DIN 52900 based on ecological and safety assessments.
The wall covering can be applied using standard heavy-duty PVA adhesives, and removed to leave no residue and without damage to walls. It is also tear-resistant and can be repositioned to ensure perfect registration at all times, says the company. Once applied, KernowJet Interiors will not expand or contract to maintain non-visible panel joints. No special application tools or chemicals are required and after printing the wall covering can be washed using a mild detergent.
The KernowJet Interiors 500 and 620 series are available in different weights and with three standard and eight ‘on-demand’ embossed patterns. They are supplied in roll lengths of 50 and 30.5 metres respectively.
