Paul Hartshorn, Managing Director of Crumlin-based Billy Board, who were commissioned by KPMF to design and develop the site, had this to say of his company's experience on the project.
"One of the unique things about us designing and building the new web site for KPMF is that our sign making section is a customer of KPMF and we use their products in our manufacturing process. So when we looked at the original website we viewed it not only through the eyes of a web site designer but also through the eyes of the user. This led us to identify many issues which may have made the existing site non user-friendly and we addressed those issues when designing the new site. The management at KPMF had a clear vision of how they expected the site to look and this certainly made our task easier. The feedback received from the main users of the site (the distributors) has been very positive and there have been good comments made by other trade associates. "
KPMF Sales & Marketing Director, Debbie Cardell, added "We knew at the outset that we wanted the website to appeal not only to potential customers but also to be a source of information for our network of worldwide distributors, who have exclusivity for the product range in their own countries. We further emphasised that the site should be attractive and easily navigable, both of which the designers have achieved."
