HP has introduced a new 100 per cent knitted polyester fabric for HP Latex Printers that is wrinkle-resistant, soft to the touch and features an excellent colour gamut for a range of high-profile display applications, according to the company.
The new HP Light Fabric has been tested for harmful substances and is certified according to the Oeko-Tex Standard 1001. It is REACH-compliant, to provide 'confidence that the material poses no health risks when used as intended'. The fabric is flame-retardant to B1, M1, and NFPA 701 standards.
HP Light Fabric allows print shops to produce 'economical, lightweight, high-quality' banners and display for special events, retail displays and exhibits.HP says its fabric is crease and wrinkle-resistant; as well as rub and scratch resistant, so print shops can 'have greater confidence' in the final application when they pack and ship their fabric displays. An 'excellent' alternative to PVC for banners and displays, HP Light Fabric is available in 42-, 54-, and 60-inch widths. www.hp.com
