GPT 190s - GPT develops super fast new printer

Graphic Printing Technologies (GPT) has used its extensive experience and expertise to develop a unique printer based on an existing Mimaki machine.

The new GPT 190s can print high speed mode at 35 m²/h (540dpi x 720dpi - good quality banner mode), standard speed at 24 m²/h (540dpi x 1080dpi - good quality vinyl mode) and highest quality at 15 m²/h (720dpi x 1440dpi - highest quality vinyl mode). The GPT 190S cannot be purchased anywhere but from GPT and is a 1.9m wide printer, incorporating double print heads (as the JV34 260) to deliver the additional speed.

The printer has been created by adapting an existing Mimaki textile printer and includes a full 2 year parts and labour warranty, Mimaki inks and Mimaki RIP. The GPT 190s also has an optional trough for unbacked mesh materials, and an optional Mimaki bulk ink system for cheaper ink costs.

Stuart Cole, general manager of GPT, says: “This is what many of our customers have requested. It provides all the benefits of the JV33 160, more akin to the JV34 for speed with the double heads, a unique 1.9mtr print width, and is incredibly good value for money.” The new printer is now available for purchase exclusively from GPT from January 2013.
