Epson's first dye sub transfer paper

Epson has launched its first dye sublimation material called DS Transfer Production Paper. It is unique to Epson and has been optimised to use with their range of SureColor SC-F inkjet printers and UltraChrome DS inks. It has been specifically developed for the volume production of textiles for fashion and soft signage applications.

The paper is lightweight (75gsm) and designed to dry quickly and avoid wet cockling. Its high ink transfer to textile substrates capability, even with heavy ink loads, 'maximises ink use efficiency and produces consistent high quality, sharp images and vibrant colours'. The 'excellent' dimensional stability of DS Transfer Production Paper during the printing and ink transfer processes makes the paper easy to handle. And reduces any potential waste of paper, ink, and textile while maximising production, according to the company.

Martin Johns, market development manager, Epson UK, said: "Our first transfer paper gives end users total peace of mind by providing a complete solution comprising Epson printer, ink and media, which have been optimised to work together to ensure the best all-round quality and performance for textile applications."

Available now the paper is compatible with the SureColor SC-F range of dye sublimation printers and available in two high-volume roll sizes: 1.08m x 1.52m and 1.62m x 1.75m.
