A piece of cake for Brighton Sign Company

Forfars, the Sussex based bakers, decided on a total new re-brand for its 19 outlets and they instantly approached the Brighton Sign Company. The brief was roughly outlined by the client and several options were mocked up and samples manufactured and submitted for approval. As soon as Forfars made the decision on which style they preferred, all the stores had to be fully surveyed and photographed ready for the visuals to be produced.

The contract was for all new fascias and internal menu boards and freezes. The fascias were painted aluminium sign trays with stood off acrylic text and logos faced with vinyl. Brighton Sign Company turned to local trade suppliers Simplex for the fascia trays. The fascias were all different and had to be designed with installation in mind as many of the stores had ornate mouldings to the façade and fixing the trays back to the wall required some ingenious solutions.

Once the order was received, production had to begin straight away due to the very tight schedule set by the client. Schedule one was for seven stores, which had to be completed within 15 working days with little or no disruption to Forfars business. Most of the stores are in the main shopping areas of major towns in the county along with eight shops in Brighton. With this in mind there had to be close coordination with the local and city council to arrange for special permits for parking and erecting access towers.

The whole project is now complete and very much to the customer's satisfaction. Brighton Sign Company called upon its previous experience in project managing the re-branding of Plumbase and Brewers and although these were far bigger projects, they were without the difficulty of being in High Street locations.
