Signs Express Sign Awards a great success
In March Signs Express hosted their annual Sign Awards at The Genting hotel in Birmingham.
Following a day at Sign & Digital UK, members of the Signs Express network, valued suppliers and the team at the Franchise Support Centre attended a gala dinner and awards ceremony.
Hosted by Managing Director Jonathan Bean, the evening was the first opportunity in over two years that Signs Express have been able to host the event in person.
The winners of the 2021 Sign Awards, voted for by the Signs Express network, were as follows:
- Best Interior Sign – Signs Express (Glasgow) for The Hanging Gantry
- Best Exterior Sign – Signs Express (Harlow) for Plush
- Best Vehicle Graphics – Signs Express (Leeds) for Rock of Ages
- Best Sign Project (sponsored by SignElite) – Signs Express (Stoke)
- Most Striking Design (sponsored by Metamark) – Signs Express (Glasgow) for Coldplay Music of the Spheres Tour
Also announced on the night was the winner of the Employee of the Year category, which was awarded to Paul Morris at Signs Express (Central Lancashire).
Supplier of the Year was awarded to Metamark for the fifth consecutive year.
The coveted Franchise Awards were also announced on the night with the top award Franchisee of the Year, sponsored by HSBC UK, being awarded to Paul Glover at Signs Express (Nottingham). Paul has made a big difference to the business since 2018, bringing a wealth of commercial experience together with a driven and ambitious mindset Paul has supported, developed, and created an energetic and engaging team that are truly invested in the business.

Following last year’s virtual event it was so refreshing to get together for the gala dinner and award ceremony. Being able to have meaningful conversations and engage with colleagues and suppliers is so valuable, I can’t wait to hold more events over the course of the year.’
