Platinum Award for Signfocus' commitment

Paul Pratchett and Sam Johnson standing in front of SignFocus premises with their certificateSignfocus Ltd, already an acknowledged market leader in the supply of corporate signage, has recently added the Platinum Award Certificate of Commitment, from Construction Skills to its accolade of achievements.

The platinum award is only presented to companies who are committed to improving competence and have registered over 90% of their workforce to the scheme, which ensures they are qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 2 in signmaking and installation.

Signfocus, based in Bradford, were eligible to apply after two of their employees recently completed their NVQ at BTAL, a local training centre and subsequently obtained their skilled worker CSCS cards. The course, taking eight months to complete, ensures competency in all areas of sign manufacturing and sign installation.

Contracts manager, Elaine Davies, explains: "Many of our corporate clients are now insisting that signage installers hold current CSCS cards. We value our employees and feel it is important that we invest in them and of course Signfocus benefit from the increased skilled workforce. All our sign installers and manufacturers have successfully achieved their NVQ and we are proud of their achievement."
