Yee Ha! MacroArt has all signs covered ready for the opening of Paultons Park’s brand-new ride experience.

A leading signage and wide format graphics printer MacroArt, has continued its longstanding relationship with Paultons Park, supplying the latest signage for its newest attraction – Tornado Springs – which opened on 12th April.

Working with the client’s design team, MacroArt researched and responsibly sourced ethically verified specialist wood materials, able to withstand the rigours of a UK theme park environment.

Extensive testing work was required to ensure the printing processes used had the visibility, durability and longevity needed to ensure a high safety, low maintenance result for the dozens of signs on the site.

“Working with our materials suppliers, our design and production team devised a solution using a combination of our direct-to-media printers and the latest wooden materials to ensure we complemented the 1950’s style and tone of the new Tornado Springs experience,” said Mike Hamling, MacroArt’s Key Account Manager.

MacroArt combined a printed white layer to make the text pop and a four-colour layer without white to allow natural wood grain to show through. The back of each sign was also printed with a pattern to maintain the brand experience, and all the panels were cut out using one of MacroArt’s three CNC cutters before receiving two layers of clear UV lacquer.

The new Tornado Springs themed land is set in a Midwest desert resort town in the American heyday of the 1950s and is sited within Paultons Park’s 140-acre site in the New Forest National Park.

Head of Marketing and Communications, Rob Griffiths has worked with Mike Hamling for over 15 years and was confident that whatever the challenge, the team at MacroArt could deliver.

Its extensive plant list has meant that MacroArt has been ideally suited to the task of producing the wide variety of internal and external shaped signage needed for Paultons Park over the years, and Paultons were pleased to continue using MacroArt to supply signage for this latest project.

“It was a real advantage to be able to leave these signage elements in Mike’s capable hands and our relationship built over the past years reassured us that MacroArt would continue to produce high quality and reliable signage that would really complement our incredible new land.” continued Rob.

Mike concluded; “Our longstanding customers are key to MacroArt and by ensuring we are able to provide printed graphics and signage across a wide variety of project sizes, we make sure that we can deliver the results they need.

“This job was the perfect example of our ability to deliver tailor-made signage solutions of any size for our clients and I am delighted that they provide the impact and sustainability that Paultons Park demanded for their brand-new experience.”
