Icon’s senior management successfully completes MBO of the company
Icon Display’s senior management team has successfully completed the Management Buy-Out of the company from its parent organisation, CSS Stellar PLC. The MBO investor team is led by John Francis and Keith Goodwin, two of Icon’s directors, and they are confident that this new ownership will allow the company to enhance its range of products and services for customers both in the UK and overseas.
John Francis, managing director of Icon, said; "This is an opportunity for Icon to take charge of its own destiny. We have a dedicated and professional team who have extensive knowledge and experience, and I believe that between us we can make a real difference to the projects we work on in the future."
The new management team will have far greater flexibility for investment and will be looking for new opportunities in both products and services that will strengthen the company’s offerings to both existing and prospective clients.
Originally founded in 1947 Icon has over 50 years of experience in signage and branding. From its headquarters in the south east of England it employs nearly 70 full time staff, and offers a full range of services including creative design, digital and screen printing and full advice and project management services across the company’s range of signage solutions. This includes both permanent and temporary solutions at many major sporting events and venues, commercial property signage and exhibition, retail and broadcast applications.
Recently the company’s work on international projects, has led to the establishment of offices in Berlin, Doha, Johannesburg, Shanghai and Toronto and plans are in place for additional new ventures further a field.
