In summer the company launched a new generation in solvent acrylic adhesive technology. Called Crystalblue, it features a solvent acrylic adhesive technology developed to help improve the images and graphics printed when using solvent, eco-solvent and UV Curable inkjet printers.
Digital vinyl that has grey or black adhesive can look dull in appearance and the printed result may not be as vibrant as expected. Also, vinyl products with clear adhesive allow the target substrate to "show through" the printed vinyl, reducing the clarity of the printed image itself.
In the case of all white colours, when blue pigment is added, the product becomes a brighter white. The Crystalblue adhesive technology has been specifically formulated to be the most effective shade of blue to support the opacity of the vinyl film when applying on to a dark substrate. As well as helping the white vinyl to look brighter, all prints that are printed onto a Crystalblue media also appear brighter and sharper.
The permanent Crystalblue solvent acrylic adhesive technology allows the product to stick to a wider variety of surfaces, such as painted walls, foam board, acrylic, steel, composite aluminium sheet, vehicles and glass. All Crystalblue media has an ultra white high gloss finish with a fast drying formulation.
The Crystalblue adhesive technology is available on two products, both available at 1370mm x 50m. The first is HD3801 a 100µm monomeric calendered pvc vinyl with permanent Crystalblue solvent acrylic adhesive technology on a digital lay flat liner with up to four years outdoor durability. This product is suitable for all indoor and exhibition graphics, floor graphics and short term outdoor vehicle graphics and signage. The second product is HD5701 a 75µm polymeric calendered pvc vinyl with permanent Crystalblue solvent acrylic adhesive technology on a PE coated Digital layflat liner with up to 7 years outdoor durability.
