Colourgen to distribute KALA range of wide format laminators

Colourgen has announced UK distribution for the complete range of KALA wide format laminators. KALA offers one of the industry's most comprehensive portfolios of wide format laminators, from the entry level 30" Bunny Plus, through to the Mistral models up to 83". Laminators in the KALA range work with all types of lamination and encapsulation supplies, and enable finished prints to be used in- or out-door with excellent levels of quality and durability.

The KALA Range includes the Mistral HR, cold up to 2.1m. This is a professional pressure sensitive lamination system providing high quality results for lamination, encapsulation, adhesive setting and mounting up to 2.1m (83") wide. The upper roller has quartz elements that warm up the laminating film from 20C to 60C in order to improve the polymerization process of the film onto the print. This eliminates micro bubbles usually seen when laminated with pressure sensitive laminators without heater elements.

The Baltic - cold up to 1.08m, which delivers single side lamination and adhesive board mounting up to 25mm thick. It is an entry level solution for signmakers and photo labs requiring a low cost, flexible and easy to use laminator that takes up little space, yet delivers good quality finishing.

The Arkane range provides heated laminators up to 1.6m (63"). As well as offering the same pressure sensitive capabilities as the Mistral range, the Arkane's top roller heats up the film to 140C and can use thermal films on one side for cost saving application.

The Atlantic range - heated up to 1.6m offers a heavy duty, industrial solution to a huge array of finishing applications. These are robust, long lasting machines that are easy to operate and very reliable. Available in 1.08 and 1.6m models, the KALA Atlantic range is a complete solution for most finishing requirements.

Finally, the Bunny Plus desktop, entry level laminators are available in 30" and 43" versions and are ideal for signmakers, photographers or other users requiring an easy to use, reliable and low cost finishing solution. It can mount to board up to 2" and offers a huge range of finishing applications.

The KALA range of laminators is available from authorised Colourgen resellers and end user pricing starts at just £1,899 for the Bunny Plus 720 up to £9,900 for the Mistral 2100.
