Printer & Sign Studio Technician - Wilmington, East Sussex

Chilli Graphics Ltd is a well established print, signage, wrap and design company.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Printer and Sign Technician to add to our studio team.

As part of a busy studio environment you will contribute to sustainable growth, ensuring that production quality and productivity are kept to the absolute maximum whilst working at times in a high paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the signage and or print industry, and display the key skill required within the role.

Essential skills and experience

• Excellent skills in Adobe Illustrator
• Generate artwork production ready files from final designs and artwork
• Knowledge of large format printing, vinyl plotter and their systems / process.
• General sign making and preparation of vinyl graphics
• Ability to work under pressure, on your own initiative and at times unsupervised
• Ability to infer job production details from internal job management system
• Experience of working from a brief and communicating details to clients
• Knowledge of different medias, vinyls and substrates
• Use of finishing equipment such as laminators, mount rollers and cutters
• Can-do attitude, professionalism, great communication skills and excellent customer service
• Driving Licence

Desirable skills and experience

The following skills and knowledge are highly desirable however full training will be provided for the right candidate

• ONYX for pre-ripping of print files and output
• SignLab for vinyl cutting and preparation
• Operating Epson large format printer and Graphtec plotters
