SloanLED is actively recruiting for a new role of Sales Manager UK to contribute to the growth of our European based International Division. Working from a home office and reporting to the UK Sales Director. He/She will be supported by inside sales, engineering and operations teams based in our facility in Delfgauw, the Netherlands. The job requires extensive travel to customers throughout the southern part of the UK.

The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and growing the sales of lighting system and signage products, with an emphasis on building direct relationships with larger (end)users, specifiers and OEM’s. Our strategy includes raising product and brand awareness with end users and specifiers through direct sales calls, marketing campaigns and trade shows. The Sales Manager will also play a key role in the development process of new products by feeding back customer requirements, competitive analysis and market developments to the design team. Success will be measured by the timely execution and effectiveness of the sales strategy which includes revenue, margin and product performance targets.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute key account sales strategy
  • Build customer relationships and understand requirements
  • Recruit, train and develop additional channel partners
  • Contribute to marketing strategies (promotions, and pricing)
  • Develop strategy and execute new international product roll-out plans
  • Communicate customer feedback for product development and improvements
  • Provide written project status and potential sales updates to management via CRM system
Required Skills
  • Ability to locate and develop new customers through the entire sales process
  • Experience in making sales visits, customer service calls, and presentations
  • History of positive collaboration on technical projects in a team environment
  • Effective communication and decision making abilities
  • Initiative to work remotely, prioritize, multi-task, and stay motivated while away from headquarters
  • Demonstrated technical leadership at product development and roll-out
  • Leadership in product planning and efforts to bring product to the market
  • Collaborative approach with engineering development efforts on product delivery
  • Significant understanding of international operations of a manufacturing company
  • Ability to understand lighting and electrical requirements and specifications
  • Five plus years of sales and/or channel management experience preferably related to lighting
  • University degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively on all levels
  • Proficient in financial analysis related to customer ROI
  • Fluent Exceptional Language skills required in English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
