Zünd UK launch SonicZ at Sign & Digital UK

Leading global manufacturer of finishing systems Zünd demonstrated the new SonicZ ultrasonic cutting module on their award winning G3 cutter at Sign & Digital UK 2013 at the NEC on the 31st April to the 2nd of May.

The Sonic tool lends itself to new industry segments to existing owners of Zünd cutting machines as well as traditional applications such as processing of reflective, composite materials, line and spot welding and is used in the processing of prismatic, reflective materials for emergency traffic fleets and road signs where high conspicuity is essential.

Utilising the unique characteristics of ultrasonic cutting and high frequency oscillation Zünd can now offer massively improved cutting speeds to the corrugated packaging and point of sale display manufacturer, on corrugated and thicker fluted core boards.

For larger sample quantities and short run production volumes the SonicZ tool offers the perfect solution.

Zünd also showcased their S3 flatbed cutting machine which was launched last year, but is now available with a brand-new V-cut tool.

With a revolutionary directdrive system, the S3 is built for speed. The new cutter excels with unprecedented price/performance as well as exceptional productivity. S3 is capable of processing a wide range of materials, including textiles, vinyl's, films, thinner plastics, and cardboard, with the modularity and quality typical of Zünd.

The S3 features smaller, space-saving footprints and ultra-fast Z and T-axis control. Altogether, the characteristics of the S3 make it the perfect all-round cutting system whose capabilities can be extended even further with creasing tools and a 300W router insert.
