SSE Worldwide to showcase Eagle range of versatile UV LED Printers at FESPA

SSE Worldwide will launch the Eagle range of highly versatile, to format, UV LED flatbed inkjet printers onto the UK market at FESPA 2013 (stand P44N, 25-29th June, ExCeL London.

Developed by DPI DG Printing, Italy, the Eagle UV LED 30 (300 x 1000mm printable area) and the Eagle UV LED 60 (600mm x 1500mm) machines print CMYK and white as standard onto substrates and objects up to a depth of 25cm making it ideal for imaging onto a wide range of products from flat signage to 3D promotional products, gadgets and industrial components.

The Eagle printers use UV inks which are suitable for printing onto a wide range of both flexible and non-flexible substrates and deliver vibrant, wide colour gamut results. Furthermore the use of LED UV drying lamps allows users to print onto heatsensitive substrates.

The Eagle has been engineered to maximise flexibility, quality, production efficiency and return on investment (ROI). Features include: Epson DX5 printheads, which deliver one of the smallest ink drop sizes of any inkjet printer (3 picolitre) to produce sharp text and clear images; a unique free-standing wing design which allows easy loading and unloading of the print bed, even during production, to minimise downtime time; and a cost-effective bulk ink system.

The Eagle includes a dedicated RIP - Whiterip - which has been developed specifically for the printer to ensure the best print quality and production performance. In addition, a web-to-print front-end has been developed specifically for the printer, allowing users to offer a personalised online shop front and streamline their product ordering and production workflow.

Commenting on the launch of the Eagle range, Scott Armitage, SSE Worldwide's Managing Director, says: "The Eagle is highly versatile and affordable machine which fits easily into any production environment and enables companies to print onto a wide range of materials and objects and, as a result, to open up new markets for added-value printed products. The Eagle 30 is essentially a quick turnaround, short-run machine, while the larger Eagle 60 is a production engine that can play a key role in a developing print business."
