Onthecase goes solar powered

Solar lighting system Showcase illuminated at night. Solar posts placed along walkway.
Onthecase is delighted to bring to the market a new state-of-the-art, cutting edge solar lighting system.

Existing systems are normally separate units, which are fixed onto the product that needs illuminating and are quite unsightly, prone to vandalism, expensive and generally do not give sufficient light. This latest product, which has a world wide patent (pending), answers all these problems.

Firstly, the solar unit has been designed to be part of the product, giving a stylish and contemporary look. Secondly, the solar units are protected within the post by a polycarbonate cover making it resistant to vandalism and thirdly, the power the light generates is 350 lumens using only three watts of energy, which produces more than sufficient light per pole.

The system has also been designed to offer sequence lighting using a unique sensor system - the units will only light up when approached by people, bikes or cars - all to agreed timings and speeds.

Crucially, the solar system is also affordable with significant savings to be made on installation costs as there is no need for any feeds, cables or connections to services.

Onthecase are introducing the solar system to link in with its best selling range of showcases and are also introducing a post light to the market. The posts will be available in heights of 1000mm, 2000mm, 3000mm and 4000mm and finished in a silver anodised aluminium as standard, with special colours on request.

Applications include walkways, bicycle paths, carparks, terminals, stadia, marinas, universities and leisure and retail centres.

Coming to the market in June 2010, look out for further details by visiting the onthecase web site www.onthecase.biz in the coming weeks or call +44 (0) 1392 247 577.
