B&P Graphics appointed as exclusive distributor for the DYSS range

Hank Park, president, DYSS and Andrew Wilson, managing director, B&P Graphic Supplies Ltd at Viscom Milan.DYSS (Dae Young Systems), a leading Korean supplier of UV direct to media printers and cutter/router tables has appointed B&P Graphic Supplies Ltd as its distributor for UK and Ireland. B&P, in association with Sun Chemical, whom B&P has appointed as a sub-distributor, will distribute the Apollo range of UV combination and flatbed printers and the X7 range of cutter/routers.

"We chose B&P Graphics as our distributor in the UK because of their focus on customer education, commitment to providing superior product support, and proven demand-creation capabilities" says Hank Park, president, DYSS.

Based in Incheon (Seoul) Korea, DYSS has more than 20 years of engineering experience in producing bespoke solutions for the manufacture of specialist screen print equipment for printing on bottles, containers, glass and even LCD TV screen panels. Such engineering expertise means that DYSS is ideally placed to produce similar bespoke solutions within the digital print world, an area where the company has researched and developed over the last two years.

DYSS claim to be the only manufacturer now offering a full print-and-cut solution in the 1600mm to 3200mm sector. The new Apollo Series industrial UV direct-to-substrate printer is a multifunctional, fast and affordable range of digital printers comprising a choice of five models with printing widths of 1.6 metres up to a huge 3200mm. These UV printers produce ultra-high quality images directly onto a wide variety of inexpensive, uncoated materials, from rigid display boards to roll-fed media. Customers can specify an optional four or six colour format, plus white or varnish.

Viscom Milan in Italy saw the launch of a further innovative feature - a full production line with a 24-head flatbed printer, able to punch registration holes in rigid board, a sheet feeder with the ability to 'flip' the board, and feed directly to the cutter, which then takes its registration positions from the back of the board to provide creasing and V-cut to the back side of the board. This is an ideal solution for packaging and is said to be unique to DYSS.

With more than 3,000 systems installed since its formation in 1982, B&P Graphic Supplies has a considerable customer base to support with the introduction of innovative print-and-cut solutions, high quality media, inks and toners.

Andrew Wilson, managing director, B&P Graphic Supplies Ltd, says "We have been in the UV printer market since its inception and have always been a little disappointed by a lack of labour-saving, or ease-of-use features in the machines available on the market, the DYSS Apollo is the first printer that 'ticks all the boxes' for us.

"Some of the innovations we see on this machine are features that we have been crying out for over the past few years and, whilst they may seem insignificant in isolation, these features can add up to a big reduction in spoilage, and time taken per job, in a busy production environment."
