I was speaking to Simon at Lettering Systems Unlimited about this.

It is probably worth giving him a call as he sells Mimaki and Roland products, and really knows his products.

From the chat it sounds like you may benefit from a print and cut system. These tend to print and then go back to do the cutting all in one go, as opposed to if you had a printer and a seperate cutter you would spend more time loading up the vinyl on both machines and then getting it aligned just right on the cutter.
The print and cut machines are just easier to use.

If you want to do just vinyl cutting, you would need to turn the heaters off - so may be best to use first thing in the morning before the heaters have been used.

The Roland VersaCAMM range is the world's best-selling integrated print & cut, and from what I have heard would be a good choice, although depending on your requirements there may be better options.

An alternative setup would be to go with a print and cut machine and get a small cutter in addition.
