I was just thinking about the cost of running this for 70 years.
Due to Neon running cold, I don't think it would be that much.
Then I thought about what would fail, I guess the Neon could last that long as it does run cold and it doesn't have moving parts, but wouldn't it normally be the transformer that would fail first?

It sounds ideal for built up letters. I know there is already flexible tubes with leds place through out them, but it does sound interesting.
