It's coming!

Sagetech’s popular ZM range is being updated. Having been on the market for five years, this unit has achieved extensive sales with signmakers both in the UK and overseas, says Sagetech.

Sagetech has upgraded it to also make it attractive to woodworkers who require much higher precision, repeatability and a stronger frame to cope with the heavier boards they commonly use.

This new British made machine has been designed to take advantage of modern laser manufacturing techniques which, combined with modern bearing systems, will give users "higher accuracy and smoother operation". At the same time they have strengthened the frame, whilst also adding improvements to make installation easier. Stiffening up of the material support system will also enable users to load much heavier sheets without loss of accuracy.

Production is already under way, with the first units expected to be released to market early in September. Re-seller enquiries are welcome, both from those operating in the UK and overseas.

The ZM is just one of the four ranges of machines offered by British manufacturer Sagetech, who specialise in vertical panel saws for the smaller business. The Zapkut brand is for lighter duties, starting with the unique ZK8 portable unit priced at £945. When not in use it can be folded up compactly and stored conveniently, for example hanging on the wall. The Zapkut ZM range is also suitable for cutting signmaking materials, but will handle small quantities of MDF or chipboard. The Koolkut brand is for those needing a heavier duty machine; where the KF and KK Koolkut units offer capacities up to 3.1 x 2.1M, so these can handle the big 3 x 2M sheets.

"Sagetech provides a comprehensive range of sizes and models, enabling their customers, whose needs range from intermittent cutting to the higher end users (with some even cutting an average of 150 sheets a week), to select the most compact, space-saving solution appropriate to their business," says the company.
