Twickenham Rugby StadiumSigns Express (Twickenham) opened its doors for business in Summer 2003. The company operates from specially fitted 2400 sq.ft. premises near Twickenham Green in a small industrial estate with plenty of customer parking.

The company provides expert advice and professional signage services to numerous clients, ranging from small shops to large multinational companies, works with local authorities and associated companies, and is on their list of approved suppliers. Signs Express’ showroom and production facility in Twickenham are open to the general public and visits by customers are welcome. Most visitors are pleasantly surprised by the clean, well laid out facilities, frequently commenting "not quite the typical sign company interior".

As part of a franchise business with more than 80 centres nationwide, Signs Express (Twickenham) is able to provide services across the UK. The business model means that a lot of time is not spent travelling to different sites, the work is outsourced to the nearest centre. This reduces the lead time for projects and also makes the business more cost effective, which in turn benefits customers.

All production staff are multi-skilled. They are all able to use the design software, production machinery including the digital printers, prepare and fit vinyl graphics to a variety of substrates and carry out installation work. For larger projects the company has a team of specialist installers who are qualified and experienced in working at height with larger signs. Training staff in all aspects of signmaking gives Signs Express (Twickenham) flexibility in production and ensures that work progresses through it more smoothly. All staff take pride in meeting customer deadlines, are customer facing and able to offer helpful advice and updates throughout a project, both at a customer’s site and in production.

As well as focussing on employing the right staff, Signs Express (Twickenham) is particularly selective about which suppliers are used. The cheapest is not always the best and its suppliers are vetted by Signs Express Head Office to ensure that that they are reliable and providing good quality materials at reasonable prices. These benefits can then be passed on to customers.

Many of Signs Express (Twickenham)’s customers come via referrals, although specific markets are targeted via carefully planned marketing campaigns. Staff maintain regular contact with its customer base via telephone and e-shot technology developed by Head Office and this contributes to a high rate of customer retention. Its website is also a very important marketing tool and increasingly brings in new leads. Signs Express (Twickenham) personnel do their utmost to ensure they provide an excellent service to all clients, regardless of the project size. They also work with many design and marketing agencies to deliver high quality, professional signage solutions to their clients.
