N & N Signs have been manufacturing high quality commercial signs from their North London based workshop for almost three decades.

Due to expansion, we have recently moved to new larger premises in East Barnet so that we are able to continue with our quality sign making and provide our customers with the service they deserve, from design right through to installation.

We currently have an opportunity available for a:

Sign Manufacturer/Installer

    Responsibilities will include;
  • Manufacturing of aluminium and Perspex/acrylic signage
  • Installation and preparation of signage and graphics on and off site
  • Fitting of window graphics and vehicle livery
  • Preparing surfaces, cutting, mounting and laminating
  • Operating the Jigsaw machinery for thread cutting purposes
  • Plan work to a pre-prepared design
  • Ensuring all jobs are completed accurately and delivered on time
  • Receiving and dispatching goods
  • Use LED technology for signage and apply electrical theory for illuminated signage
  • Stock Control
    Key Attributes;
  • Previous Sign Manufacturing and Installation experience necessary
  • Must be able to work with a variety of mediums to manufacture a variety of different signage, such as Vinyl, Perspex, Di-bond, plastic etc
  • Understanding of internal and external illumination of signs
  • Strong Experience in the application of vinyl on a variety of surfaces
  • A good understanding of sign making tasks including the use of signage software and vinyl plotters, and production and application of vinyl
  • Strong cutting, mounting and laminating experience
  • Onsite installation experience
  • Workshop skills
  • Visual Design skills, good mathematical skills to measure and calculate space accurately. You must be able to interpret written instructions and measurements
  • Must be willing to keep up with trends and advancements in the sign industry
    Person Specification;
  • Must be able to work in a team as well as alone and on own initiative
  • Must be ready and willing to work in an arrangement of different weather conditions
  • This role will be physically demanding and you must be able to handle heavy loads. You will also be required to work at heights
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and travel long distances. Overnight stays will occur at times
  • Must be receptive to direct instructions but still be an independent and creative thinker
  • A full clean driving licence would be advantageous
    Work Experience or knowledge related to the following would be a distinct advantage;
  • Power and Hand Tools
  • Laminators
  • Mimaki Machinery and Printers
  • Sign making computer software such as Flexi-Sign
  • Electrician Degree or Qualification
