N & N Signs have been manufacturing high quality commercial signs from their North London based workshop for almost three decades.

Due to expansion, we have recently moved to new larger premises in East Barnet so that we are able to continue with our quality sign making and provide our customers with the service they deserve, from design right through to installation.

We currently have an opportunity available for a:

Sign Designer (Full Time/Part Time)

    Responsibilities will include;
  • Discussing client’s requirements, selecting the most suitable signage for the specification, and defining and agreeing the resources needed.
  • Preparing scaled designs to customer specifications using our flexi-sign software
  • Preparing printing machinery and vinyl cutters for production of confirmed designs
  • Ensuring all designs are completed accurately to a high specification and to specified deadlines.
  • Receiving and dispatching goods
  • Stock Control
    Key Attributes;
  • Strong experience of Sign Specific Software. For example Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDraw. Flexi –Sign is the software we use so work experience in this software would be advantageous.
  • Extensive experience of designing all types of signage including fascias, logos, window designs and banners to specific requirements.
  • Must have experience in large format digital printing and lamination using machinery such as Mimaki CJV-130.
  • Knowledge of types and purposes of Signs
  • Knowledge of vinyl cutters/plotters through the use of sign specific software
  • Familiarity with CNC Routers. This is vital as we will be investing in a router shortly.
  • Must be willing to keep up with trends and advancements in the sign industry
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including overtime in order to meet deadlines
    Person Specification;
  • Design experience within the signage industry is essential
  • Design Degree or equivalent qualification would be desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • The ability to hold responsibility for own workload but must also be able to work in a team.
  • You must be a creative individual with a good education record, visual design and good mathematical skills to measure and calculate scaled drawings accurately. You must be able to interpret written instructions and measurements with excellent attention to detail.
  • Must be receptive to direct instructions but still be an independent and creative thinker
